• Thomas Keaveney

    Vice President of Field Investigations

    Thomas Keaveney is retired from the New York State Police as a Sergeant. He was an instructor at the NYS Police Academy for Accident Investigations and EMS First Responder Class. Before joining the NYSP he was a member of the FDNY as a Paramedic.He was certified by the NYSP as an Accident reconstructionist, certified as a total workstation operator, as well as member of the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit. Thomas is proficient in interviewing, statements, evidence gathering, and investigation report writing. He graduated from WNEC with a Mechanical Engineering Degree and a minor in Manufacturing all while being a collegiate soccer and lacrosse player. Thomas joined Satellite Investigations in 2018 as an investigator and has moved up the ranks. While with the NYSP, Thomas attended multiple training courses to continue his education in the field of policing and investigations which included False Documents,DMV Investigations/Documents, Investigation Interview Techniques, Cargo/Tank, Other Bulk Packaging and Hazardous Materials. Today as Vice President of Field Investigations, Thomas manages the field Investigation unit and provides training and quality control oversight. He has an expertise in recovering accident site videos.

  • David Johnson

    Director of Operations

    David graduated Southeastern University with a BS in Criminal Justice and immediately joined the military after college. During David’s 8 years in the military he served as a member of the US Army Special Forces and deployed to various international locations in support of wartime and peacetime operations. After completing his service with the Army, David obtained his Private Investigator license in North Carolina and worked for an international investigative firm as an investigator and business operations manager. David joined Satellite
    Investigations in April of 2023 and presently serves as Director of Operations. Currently David is a licensed investigator in the state of Texas and is a member of multiple investigative associations

  • Laura Rodriguez

    Operations Manager / AR Specialist

    Laura has over 20 years in the legal and investigation field. Having spent the last 7 years with Satellite Investigations, her expertise in HR leadership includes training new hires, managing finances (AP/AR). She also brings experience in fostering collaboration among legal teams, investigators, and analysts. Her role as a bridge between these different verticles amplifies Satellite Investigations’ synergy and success. Laura’s journey defines excellence, innovation, and commitment.

  • Matthew Brown

    Field Investigator, Training Manager

    Matthew Brown is an Investigator with Satellite Investigations. A graduate of Marist College where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Matt is proficient in interviewing, statements, evidence gathering, and investigation reporting. Prior to joining Satellite, he worked as an adjuster handling bodily injury litigation claims for a large insurance company covering the complicated service areas of Bronx, Manhattan and Westchester. Matt then joined the ranks of the police force where he excelled as a police officer. His career assignments included the traffic enforcement unit, detective division and instructor at the police academy. These roles developed skills in interviewing techniques, report writing, accident investigation, public speaking and case management. Matt attended multiple training courses continuing his education in the field of policing and investigations. He has several citations and awards for multiple achievements, developing information and cases, resulting in hundreds of arrests. Matt is OSHA 30-hour certified and experienced in New York City construction labor law accident investigations.

  • Josh Ulan

    Field Investigator, CVA Specialist

    Josh is a NYS licensed Private Investigator and Notary Public. He is a highly decorated retired veteran with the NYPD Special Victims Detective and has nearly 30 years of law enforcement experience. He also has an extensive background in criminal and civil investigations, surveillance techniques, interviewing skills, and report preparation. He is experienced with courtroom testimony, with an expert specialization in sex crimes and crimes against children. He is a resilient investigator adept at conducting a multitude of investigations, gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses and obtaining witness statements.

  • Franklin Jimenez

    Field Investigator

    Franklin is a graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice and has extensive experience working as a private investigator. Franklin is a bilingual Latino investigator, which allows him to connect with the Latino community in New York. He has worked on both plaintiff and defendant sides of Investigations. This background enables him to look at his work with an objective mind. Since graduating, Franklin has worked exclusively on civil litigation investigations and he has handled auto accident, slip/trip and fall and construction accident cases. Franklin’s strong work ethic and reliability have been a major asset to the Satellite team.

  • Frank Acosta

    Field Investigator

    Frank recently retired from the NYPD after a dedicated career. He was a Case detective in the NYPD Missing Person Squad and Cold Case Squad. He also served as an NYPD Hostage Negotiator. He is a member of the of the New York Association of Hostage Negotiators. Frank served our Country in the United States Marine Corps and is an honorably discharged Veteran.

  • Michelle Alder

    Senior Research Analyst

    Michelle Alder heads up the research department at Satellite investigations. She has a diverse background in sales, marketing and operations. She uses her diverse skills to develop research leads not only online, but through social engineering. She is a key player on the team in supporting the field team to help them accomplish their goals with success. Michelle has a won’t quit attitude and continues to develop her research skills through training with some of the best programs and classes available to the investigative industry.

  • Serena Xuning

    Data Entry Analyst

    Serena Xuning is a Chinese born painter, photographer and translator based in New York City. She is fluent in Mandarin and assists when needed, in handling intakes or witness statements and interviews. She also handles the entry and management of our case management system.
